Dr. Joe Grohs is an Owner, Staff Veterinarian and the Hospital Director. He graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1981, and is married to Dr. Julie Grohs. Together they have two sons, Erek and Lee. He enjoys hunting, fishing and snow machining. Joe's sidekicks are 2 yellow labs. Sunny is a Canine Good Citizen, an AKC Jr. Hunter, a NAHRA Hunting Retriever and Rally Excellent. "Summer" is the new kid on the block, with AKC Jr Hunter & NAHRA Started Hunter titles before 1 yr of age.

Dr. Julie Grohs is an Owner and Staff Veterinarian. She graduated from Washington State University in 1981 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She focuses her work on Equine Podiatry. She enjoys travel, fishing, photography and enjoying the outdoors with her family.Julie has 2 black labs. Margot is a Canine Good Citizen, has Rally Novice & Jr. Hunter titles as well as being an extraordinary pheasant hunter. Norah has her CGC, Rally Novice, NAHRA Started Hunter and legs on her AKC Junior Hunter.
Dr. Mary Ann Hollick
Dr. Mary Ann Hollick is an Associate Veterinarian. She graduated from the University of Georgia School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, and has lived in Alaska since then. She built, owned, and operated a large practice in Anchorage for many years, ultimately selling the business to pursue other veterinary interests. She is licensed in eight U.S. states and in Australia. In addition to working with AESAH, Dr. Hollick continues to consult in internal veterinary medicine and the improvement of veterinary medical standards, focusing on raising the standard of animal care in third-world countries. This interest has taken her recently to Belize, Mexico, Jamaica, Chile, and the Philippines. While the internal medicine is interesting and rewarding, Dr. Hollick's true passion is high-quality small animal medicine and surgery, taking care of your pets as important members of your family.
